We believe the best solutions feel obvious in hindsight

But getting there requires questioning assumptions, testing ideas, and being willing to start over when something isn't working.

Creative team workspace with collaborative environment

How we started

Ten years ago, a product designer and a behavioral researcher were sitting in a coffee shop complaining about the same thing: companies kept building products nobody wanted because they never bothered to watch how people actually behaved.

They decided to fix that problem. Not by creating another consulting framework or methodology, but by doing the work themselves – observing, testing, iterating until solutions emerged that felt natural.

Our Philosophy

Observe first, build second

We spend more time watching how people work than we do in design software. Understanding behavior comes before proposing solutions.

Make it testable quickly

A rough prototype tested with real users teaches more than months of theoretical planning. We build fast, learn fast, adjust fast.

Simple beats clever

The best innovation doesn't announce itself. It just works so naturally that people wonder why it wasn't always this way.

Question everything, especially ourselves

We're wrong more often than we're right on the first try. The key is recognizing it quickly and trying something different.

Who we are

A group of people who get unreasonably excited about solving problems that most people don't even notice. We come from backgrounds in design, engineering, psychology, and business – which means we argue a lot before we agree on anything.

What drives us

Curiosity over certainty

We'd rather ask dumb questions and learn something than pretend we already know the answer.

Progress over perfection

A working solution today beats a theoretical perfect solution that never gets built.

Honesty over politeness

If an idea isn't working, we say so. Saving face isn't worth wasting months of development.

How we work

Every project starts the same way: we shut up and pay attention. We watch how people currently solve the problem you want to address. We note where they improvise, where they get frustrated, where they develop workarounds.

Then we prototype something small and put it in front of those same people. Their reactions tell us if we're on the right track or need to rethink everything.

This cycle repeats until we've built something that feels effortless to use. That's when we know we're done.
